To be greener and cleaner urgently need to update the water supply, update the electrics and the shower facilities.

New stretch target

Extra money would be spent on greener energy alternatives such as Air Source Heat Pumps, solar hot water as well as upgrading the washrooms.

Regular Donations: After you have completed your donation you will be able to set-up a regular donation arrangement to continue supporting this great cause.

Why do we need your support?

The COVID-19 pandemic has inevitably had a significant impact on the club generating income.

Our Problem

The water supply to our pavilion is reduced to a trickle when the facilities are  fully  operating, including out kitchens and toilets. This is not ideal in the best of times and obviously extremely unsatisfactory in Covid times!! We have consulted with engineers who have suggested we install a storage tank to feed two pressurized hot water cylinders that would supply adequate hot water to the kitchen and toilets and enable us to install better showering facilities. The current pandemic has focused our attentions to the unsatisfactory situation that currently exists. It is essential that these improvements are made to ensure the safety of our guests and members.

The Solution

We hope to raise £8000 and hope our efforts  will be matched by  Sport England in our endaevours to provide a more hygienic environment and switching to a greener energy source. Funding would enable us to  replace the hot and cold water feed to the pavilion. We are improving our Green Credentials by removing  a combination gas boiler and going all electric. With water saving valves on the showers. We would have a pressurised hot water cylinder in each of the home and away dressing rooms which would be fed by an independent cold water tank with an integrated booster pump set. To facilitate this improvement, the  electric supply to the cricket pavilion which was installed in 1960 would also be upgraded.

Who we are and what we do

Coal Aston Cricket Club was formed in 1875  we pride ourselves on being a community hub. Our facilities are available for the wider community and the public has access to our fields which we manage and maintain for all. This has been vital for the community during lockdown as the open space has enabled exercise for all at safe distancing.

We are a fully inclusive club well managed with Clubmark status and in August once again meeting the standards set to retain our kitemark accreditation. Coal Aston CC is a Community Amateur Sports Club (CASC)

Coal Aston Cricket Club provides a friendly atmosphere in which everyone is welcome to play cricket in the true spirit of the game. CACC pledges to advance the game of cricket through sportsmanship, leadership, discipline and hard work. CACC not only exists to offer talented cricketers the opportunity to improve their skills and play top quality cricket, but also to provide all aspiring cricketers, whatever their background, the chance to fulfil their true potential. We shall aim to provide the very best facilities, personnel and resources for players, support staff and members as is affordable. In addition the club will champion the need for all members to increase pride, mutual respect and positivity in all things associated with the Club and its future direction
