To raise funds to help build a new modular classroom at my Lower School.

by Benji Cox in Sutton, England, United Kingdom

My name is Benji, I am a 7 year old Beaver Scout and attend a lovely village lower school called Sutton VA Lower. I live with my Daddy and Mummy and my younger sister Alyssa.

I suffered with hearing loss as a baby and toddler and intermittently since, it impacted my needs and the result was I had delayed speech, processing issues and SEN.

I started to attend Sutton VA Lower School when I was 4 years old; in Reception class my teacher was quick to pick up that my development was different to my peers and the school supported myself and my Mum and Dad through the process of getting a diagnosis.

I absolutely love my school!!!

Sutton VA Lower School, its Headteacher and Staff have been phenomenal in the support it has provided Benji, day in and day out; he gets the extra support he has required in his four years of education so far. Nothing is too much trouble, the staff are amazing and he has blossomed.

Benji has been transformed from a quiet and shy boy to a confident boy who is a joy to be around. The support of the school, its Christian ethos, as well as encouraging Benji to participate in extra curricular activities and also becoming a Beaver Scout have proved to Benji that he can achieve anything if he tries his best.

The school desperately needs to extend by the purchasing of a new modular classroom... as a thank you for everything the school has put into making Benji the young man he is today he would like to do a fundraiser to help the project finally get underway.

Benji has just completed and been awarded every single badge possible as a Beaver Scout - a mean feat!

He now wants a new challenge before the term is out... he wants to up his game and now conquer Yr Wyddfa... known to many as Snowdon - the highest peak in Wales!

We are anticipating to do this on Saturday the 13th July a week before we break up for the summer holidays!

Please support this fantastic cause and very special little village Lower School.
