New Hospital Campaign
30th October 2019Population, Population, Population
Out of all ten councils in Hertfordshire, Dacorum has the biggest population. St Albans is third and Watford only comes in at seventh out of ten.
So why do our healthcare bosses persist in pushing Watford as the only possible site for our hospital?
The combined populations of Dacorum and St Albans are far higher than the rest of the West Herts Hospitals Trust area put together.
What’s more, with the government’s plans for a new Garden Community of 11,000 houses straddling the border between Dacorum and St Albans, we’re going to be growing at a much faster rate than the rest of the area.
It stands to reason that a new hospital, that we can all get to, goes back on the table for consideration.
As of this morning (30th October) our total raised including donations received directly is now at £13,698!
We are getting ever closer to our target £20k but still need your help and support to keep sharing and explaining why this challenge in the courts is a crucial step towards getting a new hospital build, fit for the decades of population growth to come.
