We are raising for money for keep mobile to enable them to buy another bus, fully accessible transport for people with mobility difficulties

by Ian Urquhart in Wokingham, England, United Kingdom

Keep Mobile is a registered charity providing door to door accessible transport for disabled People or people over the age of 70 in the Wokingham and Bracknell Forest Borough Council areas. We operate a fleet of 12 vehicles capable of transporting those in wheelchairs or who have difficulty in negotiating steps found on other forms of public transport.

We need to buy a new bus every nine months to keep our fleet in good and safe condition and reduce our carbon footprint by taking advantage of the latest engine technology.

Unfortunately the money that had been set aside for a new bus has been spent instead over the last 18 months on equipping our existing fleet with PPE to keep our passengers and staff safe on our vehicles.

With your help we are now hoping to buy a new bus so that we can continue to provide the accessible transport that is so important to elderly and disabled people in our community.

Thank you for taking the time to read about our project.
