Neil Oseman's Stop/Eject

We did it
On 12th March 2012 we successfully raised £2,160 with 49 supporters in 60 days

[To sponsor, you'll need to first sign up (button at top right) for a free Crowdfunder account.] What would you rewind? A young couple, Dan and Kate, enter a dusty old charity store on an Autumn day. On that same day, Dan is hit by a car and killed. With the discovery of a magical tape recorder in the back of the shop, Kate is able to re-live the moment of Dan's death over and over again. But she cannot change what happens: she can only watch. When Kate finds many more tapes in the shop's basement, she realises that she can re-play every moment she spent with Dan, always watching from a distance. Absorbed in a world of nostalgia and regret, will Kate ever be able to get back to reality, and let Dan go? Written by Neil Oseman and Tommy Draper, Stop/Eject is a romantic fantasy that should appeal to fans of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and Inception. Magic and moving, and full of visual treats, it is a tale that will keep anyone engaged from start to finish. Here's how you can help: The film is now fully cast and ready to go after a small hiatus. Created by a team of unsung British talent, we have most of the props and locations locked now so we know it's going to look good. We just need help from the public and film fans like you to help the project get back on its feet and soaring back into production! The film features a range of country locations and heritage sites from the heart of the Peak District, so on top of creating a beautiful setting for Stop/Eject, we hope that our work will also help to promote a wonderful but relatively under-the-radar part of the country. Finally, on top of the knowledge that you have helped the creation of a new film - thereby standing up for original cinema in a time of constant Hollywood remakes - you will also recieve exclusive rewards in exchange for your funds. Update: as well as the great rewards listed opposite, we are now offering exclusive access to "How to Make a Fantasy Action Movie for £28,000" for anyone contributing £10 or over. This is a frank and revealing budget breakdown of Neil's feature film Soul Searcher, an invaluable resource for anyone planning to make or trying to sell an indie feature. Need more information? Check out the video above to hear from Director Neil Oseman about the project and where your money is going to go! You an also watch all of our podcasts so far on the Stop/Eject playlist of Neil's Youtube Channel: http://www.youtube.com/hair2 p/c/A99EC1B2D79F7008 Thankyou!
