I am a young wheelchair racer and need a new chair to meet my needs so I can compete in the London Marathon amongst other races this year

Hello My name is Lewis and I am a T34 wheelchair racer. I have cerebral palsy.

I found my passion for the sport when I was younger and have really started pushing myself after my recovery of a spinal operation I had to release the stiffness in my legs.

I had my own chair initially after my operation but have now outgrown this and found a kneeling position is more beneficial to me than sitting.

I have donated this chair to my very supportive athletics club - Gloucester AC hoping a younger athlete may find it useful to start their journey in the sport

I need to raise about £4000 for my new chair and new gloves

I would really like to do this before my road race in march and my second appearance in the London mini marathon in April

I am currently borrowing a chair but it is very heavy and not fitted to me which is causing me lots of problems in my technique and comfort when I'm training

All monies raised will go into the charities account but streamlined for my chair - any extra money will go towards helping the club and its disabled athletes
