To achieve my childhood ambition of working in LA with music producer, Cory Rooney.

We did it
On 23rd November 2017 we successfully raised £1,840 with 18 supporters in 28 days

As a little girl, growing up in Tottenham, I could only dream of working with  Grammy Award winning music producer, Cory Rooney (Jennifer Lopez, Mariah Carey & Michael Jackson) in LA, but now this incredible and rare opportunity has arisen for me to actually realise my childhood dream. I have been offered a place on his team to write and produce music with Lisa Cole (Pharrell Williams, Queen Latifah) and Cory himself.

The 'My First Year in LA' project has been set up to fund my living costs in LA for the first year. I am due to leave in December 2017. In order for me to join the team in LA, and before I start to become fully self-supporting from my career in the music industry, I need to find the funds to support my living costs in the exceptionally expensive Tinseltown!

I've been a musician since I was eleven years-old. For six years I was one half of the successful pop-duo RedNPink (supporting Joss Stone at Blue Balls Festival Switzerland; performing at Yokohama Arena, Nano Mugen Festival Japan; and touring Germany with the release of our EP Badman), but despite this being an incredible experience, I still wasn't able to reach my full potential as the solo artist that I am today.

As some of you may know, life has not always been easy and over the past few years I've been working hard on myself to be ready for what might possibly be my last chance to achieve success in the music industry. I had to hit a really hard rock bottom, both in my personal life and my music career, before I could see how much I was holding myself back, hiding behind a desperate need for validation and excessive drinking. Today my journey out of that darkness and all that it was concealing is the fuel that I use to create my songs.

With all of this in mind, I am asking, with large amounts of humility, for you to help me achieve my childhood dreams by giving, no matter how small, to this project. I'm aware it's a lot to ask, but without your support I will be unable to  accept this once in a lifetime opportunity.

Lastly, I'd like to invite you all to my Farewell Gig on 22nd November at Ryan's N16 (181 Stoke Newington Church St, Stoke Newington, London N16 0UL)   Tickets are priced at £25 as this is a fundraising event as well as a show so I look forward to seeing you all there if you can make it.
