To raise money for various activities to help support my 21 year old cousin Matthew (on the right) and his specific disabilities.
About the project
I am running the Tenby Half Marathon for my cousin Matt, or Matthew as he now likes to called, on the 5th July 2015.
In the last few years he has talked about getting a girlfriend, driving a car, getting a bouncer and living on his own...in no particular order. Although we did not know whether it would be possible, Matthew has recently moved into supported living whereby he does partake in some activities and group forums. However, due to his disabilities it is hard for him to communicate within group discussions and take part in general activities.
I would like to raise funds for Matthew to go on trips to the cinema or theatre, buy books/dvds/arts and crafts and if we raise enough, to fund one-to-one support sessions which will help keep that happy little face smiling!
Matthew has the biggest personality and the wildest imagination and I want to keep his love for music, books, films and plays alive! He carries his books with him everywhere, you can even see two of his favourites in this picture above! He is such a great character who really does deserve all the happiness in the world. Dispite everything he has been through he will always put a smile on your face.
£2 could get Matthew a new note pad to do his Doctor Who drawings
£5 could buy Matthew a new book
£10 could pay for a trip to the cinema with popcorn, coke and some sweets
£20 could pay for a trip to the theatre to see the actors and have some lunch
Please help me put a smile on his cheeky face and donate today!
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and if you would like any more information please do get in touch!
