We are raising money for my mum Rena Baxter's funeral. She is currently at the last stages of her battle with cancer and getting taken care of by the wonderful Dove House Hospice. Rena has always been amazingly generous and giving throughout her life, she struggled to look after her family and herself and worked hard to pay the bills. Like many working class people she owns no assets and has no insurance, leaving us in a tricky situation in which we can't afford to cover costs of even a basic funeral. As far as she's concerned she will live forever. We just couldn't burst that bubble.
Due to lots of family and friends offering to help or make small donations we thought the most modern way was to set up this page. We don't want it to go viral or public. We just want this to reach those who care and can help. No donation is too small and we really appreciate anything you can give.
This really is our last resort and not something we wanted to have to do.
Thanks for everything on behalf of all of us. She would kill us for doing this.. But we have no choice.
