I have always been comfortable in the kitchen. Growing up I'd help my mum to prepare meals from all parts of the world. I also have a keen interest in science which led me to a health and nutrition qualification in secondary school. When I started university a few years later, I realised that most students found it hard eating healthily for 3 main reasons:
1. It's expensive when it really doesn't have to be
2. It's time-consuming
3. Most students don't know how to make a variety of healthy meals
This led to the creation of my meal prep company MotivAte. It provided students with a way to have at least 1 healthy meal a day for as low as £22 a week.
My vision is to expand MotivAte and make it accessible to as many students as possible. I plan on creating a website to take orders easily and secure a delivery deal with companies like DPD so we can deliver nationally. Running MotivAte has been a great challenge but the reviews have been excellent. Students enjoy the meals and most say that it has helped them focus better as they worry less around meal times.
