Hello potential donators, and welcome to my pitch.... Marianne is an investment banker, who becomes a journalistic whistleblower after realising that the sociopathic & psychopathic nature of the bank she works for is something she can no longer tolerate. We pick up the story after numerous death threats and an attempt on her life in London have compelled her to leave the capital. She arrives in Malvern, an out of the way spa town where she can remain relatively hidden and safe. Her life leading up to this point is revealed by various phone calls with her newspaper editor, lawyer, criminal friend and a whistleblower/ex-colleague who still works at the nefarious bank and is her inside man. Whilst running on the picturesque Malvern Hills she discovers a mysterious Antique Suitcase in an abandoned quarry, the suitcase is in a different and inaccessible place each time she visits the quarry. Marianne becomes intrigued and fascinated by the antique suitcase, but can't ever get to it. She ends up in a battle with another hill runner who wants this mysterious suitcase just as much as Marianne. At the same time a powerful banker/ex-boss/ex-boyfriend of hers and his henchman are closing in on her. Will she uncover the enigma of the antique suitcase and escape the clutches of the banker and his henchman?? This is just the sizzle, to serve the steak....or tofu, I need your help. I have already secured and scouted some fantastic locations, accommodation for the crew and cast as well as having most of the necessary props and some grip equipment. I also have that key ingredient, an original finished script. Together with my own funds, the crowd funding financing would be used for a few props and disposables (data cards etc), the rental of a broadcast quality camera & sound equipment, quality tripod, feeding the crew & cast, and to pay their expenses as well as pay the lead actor/s a little something. As without believable quality talent, everything else in the film making process, no matter how brilliant, becomes somewhat irrelevant. The requested funding is for the bare bones, anything over the target amount would be put towards a camera upgrade to full cinematic digital camera, perhaps a day or two more to shoot, a professional sound mix and edit suite upgrade. Thank you...
