Moorlands Football kit & equipment
Not quite
Unfortunately this project was not successful.

The aim of this project is to raise money to pay for the Moorlands students’ (men and women's) football kits and training equipment.

We are a bunch of students that represent Moorlands Bible college, Sopley, Christchurch. UK.

We have a men's and women's team that play around 5-6 games each season. We are looking to increase this by entering the National Christian Trophy tournament, and potentially the local Christian league. However, we are lacking in training equipment and our kit has seen better days. In fact I'm not sure how many years it's been since they changed the kit. As you can see from the picture it's not an attractive colour either.

Our tired looking football bag only holds our two footballs (I think we found the second one). Our ladies don't even play in a kit, they use the men's bibs to play their games; and that's it - we don't have anything else.

It's because of this I decided to reach out to see if anyone would like to bless us with a small gift. This will help us on our way to being able to train and play at a competitive level. And would enable us to be the first team in the college's history to enter a national tournament.

Any amount you can cheerfully give would be a huge blessing to us.

FAQ

Why can't you all come up with the funds yourself?.

Great question! As students many of us are on tight budgets, and the cost of renting a pitch and referee in the area is around £120 per game, so a lot of the students budget is used on subs. We are very blessed to have a free training field to practice on.

Don't the College give you any money?.

Yes, we get around £200 per year from the student council which goes towards pitch hire and rent, and also helps if we need a football or bibs.

Can my business sponsor your team and have my company logo on the kit?

Very big yes! You can get tax relief on the funds that you give too (please speak to your accountant). Private message me for more info.

£3000 is a lot of money: what are you buying with that?

The funds would cover:

Kits (T-shirt, shorts and socks) for both teams, with design and printing of logo. £1000

Training kit (T-shirt, bottoms, new bibs). £768

Footballs x 10, pump, bag, water bottles, boundary poles, nets, medi kit. £800

If we manage to hit our target there will be a few hundred pounds left to help with travel costs and any replacement items throughout the year.

(Please note all costs are estimates)

What will you do if your Crowdfunder is unsuccessful?

We will carry on wearing our worn out yellow kit and stick to our usual 5-6 games per year. I will attempt to run the campaign again this time next year.

What will you do if the Crowdfunder goes over your campaign amount?

It will go towards pitch hire and referee costs, and we will make sure that future Moorlands students are left with a great kit and training equipment for years to come. That will probably involve leaving the extra funds with the student council to distribute when needed.

If you have any other questions about this project or would like to get involved in the football team please private message me.

Every blessing,

Mike
