Marathons Des Pieces
We did it
On 20th August 2019 we successfully raised £154 with 6 supporters in 56 days

To support the work of Team Rubicon UK, an organisation delivering critical aid to those affected by natural disasters.

Who are Team Rubicon UK?

We are a disaster response charity whose volunteers are predominantly ex-military complimented by civilians often from the emergency services. We respond to natural disasters both at home and abroad. From cyclones in Mozambique and earthquakes in Indonesia to the recent flooding in Lincoln, our volunteers leave their friends, families and day jobs to provide aid to those who need it most

Why am I supporting Team Rubicon UK?

Having left the Armed Forces, I struggled without an identity for a long time. Team Rubicon gave me a sense of purpose again - and enabled me to continue serving those in need. Now, I can not only help those affected by natural disasters, but I can also enable others like me to find their purpose again.

What am I doing to raise money?

My physical fitness has plummeted dramatically. It's been a long time since I was able to confidently run any distance without having to take at least a month off afterwards. The time has come to change - but instead of doing a sensible, incremental return to fitness, which will be incredibly boring, I'm going to overdo it.

From 10th June to 31st August, my goal is to run 12 marathons in 12 weeks. In pieces, every day (in both senses). That's 504km/314 miles in total.

I am aiming to raise a mere £100 per marathon (which is only fair as I don't have to do them all in one go).
