Estate agents 'physical' offices although still having many useful functions are not as important in the current market as they used to be. With the changing business models in estate agency like Purplebricks, YOPA etc gaining market share much more of our business is done online rather than in physical branches. As such big players in the industry like Countrywide who have shut 200 offices across the UK are covering larger geographical areas by offices in larger towns or cities rather than opening smaller 'satellite' offices as they once would have done to expand an area.
My idea is to have a 'branded up' van/mobile office (as well as our current office) that enables us to go out to our surrounding areas for the day on valuations, canvassing etc and then also still work remotely and even get those properties listed and on to the market while out in the field.
This is obviously also a cheaper solution to opening another bricks and mortar office.
