The Dunn family....
Mark and Sandra, man and wife, loved up for almost 25 years now, with a total of 10 fabulous children and three gorgeous grandchildren between us. All very different people in their own right, but all turning into great hardworking citizens and just really nice people. In age order, there are two, active in the armed forces, a sales manager, an IT manager, one dance and fitness instructor, one lab technician, one just starting college and remaining three chicks at school and developing fabulous personalities. My wife, Sandra, my daughter Georgia and I moved on as proprietors of our beautiful local delicatessen in Melbourne Derbyshire at the end of 2017, due to a flare up of a previously sustained injury to my leg, and my unfortunate inability to stand in the shop for as many hours as were required at that time to do the shop justice. As you can appreciate, after working hard for 20 years in Industry, to follow your dreams and then have to leave them behind due to an injury, this was a very hard decision to make. Until that stage, we had tirelessly grown the previously failing business under different ownership from almost zero into a busy, very attractive thriving locally well supported business within a relatively short space of time. The business featured in Derbyshire Life magazine and we even had a film crew in from Escape to the Country in the shop last year! We developed very great relationships with both our regular customers and suppliers, enjoying providing a first class, friendly, knowledgable service to customers af all ages and backgrounds who shopped with us. Now that I am fully recovered, as a family, we still crave the hustle and bustle of a providing this local community service, with smiles all round. Our vision is to provide a mobile Delicatessen service, visiting as many Derbyshire and local community foodie events as possible reaching the maximum number of foodies and yet to be foodies with a quality offering of locally produced food where possible. With Brexit looming, we feel that locally and wider UK produced food will become much more important to us all, and we would very much like to play our part in delivering this to people supportive of this concept.
So, in short summary, in order for us to begin to deliver this great service and build from there, we are going to need a small refrigerated van, a larger fridge and a market stall gazebo.
Small second hand refrigerated van - £5000
Market stall /Gazebo display set up - £3000
Thank you very much for reading our story, and we really hope you will consider supporting us.
We promise to work hard and make this venture a valuable part of the community.
