We are a small team of 5 Malawians and 2 British volunteers, based in Malawi. We have observed through working & spending time with these people how they lack the most basic facilities such as access to clean water and medical facilities.
These families walk 11-12 miles in 40 degree heat to the nearest hospital because their child is sick. They have no means of transport or money for local taxi. It is a choice between food for the week or taxi.
We want to to help by sending a Mobile Clinic with licensed medical staff, to remote, rural villages.
We will assist by tending to basic aliments such as skin conditions, malaria checks and medication, dressing wounds, antibiotics, muscular aliments, viruses, sanitation etc. We will use the funds to purchase a pick-up 4x4 vehicle and any remaining funds will go towards medical items such as kidney dishes, thermometers, wound dressing and medication. The vehicle is our biggest need.
£3000 will stretch a long way, serving hundreds of people - We can't do this on our own, we need your help. Thank you
