We're asking for your support to fund the costume and set design of this new show which tours nationally. Rosie Kay's new show MK ULTRA is a high energy, supercharged mash-up of thrilling dance, music and hypnotic imagery. The show, with seven dancers, is inspired by the bizarre realm of pop culture mind control conspiracies and Illuminati imagery. Caution: contains twerking.
To bring this show to life Rosie will work with designer Gary Card. Gary trained in Theatre Design at Central Saint Martins and is an illustrator and set designer for fashion shoots and campaigns. His clients include Stella McCartney, Adidas and Topshop and he has created props for Lady Gaga. You can see more of Gary's work here
We have completed the research and development phases for this show - images and video are from this phase - and it will go into production in early 2017.

MK ULTRA will tour to mid-scale theatres in the UK March-May 2017 taking high quality dance performance from an award-winning company to audiences around the UK. Tour locations: Birmingham, Manchester, London, York, Lincoln, Kendal, Newcastle, Leeds, Warwick, Stirling, Inverness & Glasgow.
The hypnotic world of MK Ultra is inspired by the strange world of pop culture conspiracy theory. Rosie Kay’s new work is a high energy, supercharged explosion of dance and imagery. This is a place where pop stars are manufactured, polished but then break down, pushed to the edge. Video imagery seduces, shocks and charms.
Kay spent several years exploring the weird world of pop culture conspiracy theory and the result is a supercharged mash-up of beautiful dance, with themes of pop star mind control, CIA programming, breakdowns and heightened performance.
If you didn’t know about the Illuminati, you soon will and if you did, expect MK ULTRA to shatter the Illuminati’s illusory control. Are we all getting our minds programmed? Who do we believe if we can’t believe our own news?
We are seeking your support to fund the visual design of the show including set and costumes. Gary Card has pledged his support for this project and will work closely with Rosie Kay on the visual design of the show.
