To build a purpose built facility to allow everyone access to this lifesaving skill including SEN. To provide free courses to train teachers

by Dana Wells in New Milton, Hampshire, United Kingdom

My name is Dana I have been a swimmer my whole life. It was a dream I had to open my own swim school and see the joy of children achieving their goals. We opened our swim school in 2010, we are very lucky and privileged to teach so many children each week to swim. Our Goal has always been to provide Fun, affordable swimming lessons for all ages and abilities. Unfortunately too many pools are closing meaning that people do not have access to this lifesaving skill.

Our aim is to build a pool which will allow. Free use for schools to be able to achieve the national curriculum standard of swimming at least 25m before pupils leave year 6. https://www.swimming.org/schools/swimming-national-curriculum/Nationwide

Not enough children children are having access to swimming. Too many people are dying unnecessary as they either can't swim, are not a strong swimmer, do not know the dangers or what to do when they get into trouble in the water.

Our swimming lessons focus on water safety, teaching children how to get help, what to do if they get on trouble in the water and most importantly having fun.

We are also a very inclusive swim school, all children with disabilities, additional needs and SEN are very welcome in our swim school. We would like to have SEN sessions, Therapy swims, Adult Lessons in a safe environment. Provide affordable swims.
