At Mission Grove Primary School we have two active eco-councils who are looking are always looking for ways to make our school more sustainable.
The installation of solar panels would contribute significantly to our teaching about renewable energy, as the children would be able to measure the energy generated on site and see the impact in terms of reducing the amount of energy from fossil fuels used by the school. Older children would also be able to evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of differing types of energy production. The reduction in energy costs over time would also allow the school in invest further development in this area, looking at further ways to make the school more sustainable.
