We are raising money for our film "Miss White", a dark reimagining of the classic Brothers Grimm fairy tale.

Our Film

Miss White is a 10 minute, dark reimagining of the classic fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm. A tale of jealousy, greed and cruelty imbued with a host of colourful characters and strange twists. We aim to employ both dark fantasy and a touch of comedy within a fairytale setting to bring this narrative to life.

Join us on our journey in creating a little piece of cinematic magic.

Meet the Crew

Director: Eliza Banzurkova

With family in the industry, Eliza has been around filmmaking all of her life. Growing up on set taught her a lot over the years: working on theatre and stop-motion productions, costume and makeup specialization as well as production design. Her hopes are to harness everything that she has learnt to create a fairy-tale film that immerses the audience without breaking the illusion of reality.

Producer: Michelle Lewis

Originally from the Isles of Scilly, Michelle grew up with a passion for storytelling. She decided early on to specialise in producing, putting her organisational skills to the test whilst also allowing her significant creative input. With a love of fairy tales and folklore, Michelle employs her knowledge of the Cornish countryside and its host of fantastic locations in all of her films and is excited to utilise them to see this fairy tale come to life.

Director of Photography: Thea Stainthorpe

Cinematographer, Thea, brings her extensive background of photography and fine art to each project. Employing an eye for composition in combination with an understanding of people and psychology, she creates unconventional, highly creative visual stories which aim to capture the quintessence of characters and lure audiences into the world inside film.

Editor: Giedvile Kara

By studying fine art, music, photography and then engaging in film studies, Kara found her passion for Post-Production. Editing videos for companies like Citizen Advice Cornwall, National Geographic and Cornwall Film Festival taught her a lot and now she is ready to start working on Miss White and ensure that you as a viewer will engage in every second of the film.

Sound Designer: Josh Bawden

Josh is the head of sound on Miss White. He is excited to start work on the film as the script is full of possibilities regarding innovation for the sound design. He is looking forward to experimenting within the dark fantasy genre of the film; allowing him to try new things, attempting to better what has come before and also to build exciting sound environments that create a convincing world. Josh has previously worked on films such as The Weight of Regret, Snip, Monster in the Closet and Deep Breath.

Estimated Expenditure

As you can see, our budget will go mainly towards actors and locations. We hope to hire professional actors for our film as the performances are key to its success. We are also looking at some of the fantastic heritage sites in Cornwall for our on set locations which will help bring to life the fairytale aesthetic.
