MindSET is an online resource with a weekly schedule of creative and interactive events which are designed, produced and hosted by young people with lived experience who have themselves been supported by MindSET and Body and Soul.
The MindSET members present weekly events alongside one of the UK's top dialectical behavioural (DBT) therapists:
- Interactive livestreamed therapy sessions
- Interviews with leading creatives, scientists, and professionals on the impact of mental health in their field
- MindHack Skills coaching sessions
- Mindfulness exercises
- SelfSoothe Sundays
Your donation goes directly to the production of these weekly events, digital media and resources, and the development of young people through our apprenticeship-style training of programme graduates.
MindSET is a digital doorway to Body & Soul's 25 years of frontline psychological work and proven methodology, built in response to the current physical and emotional isolation felt by so many people. It teaches practical skills for emotional regulation, for any young person to watch in private, or in real time where they can engage through the online chat. In addition, we provide a weekly schedule of varied creative events on our Instagram to connect throughout the week. Our priority is to create a community to provide a pathway out of isolation, and give young people agency over their wellbeing.
To date, MindSET has been delivered via Instagram, Campsite and YouTube. This format does not allow us to create a digital home for our users or consistently message and engage with participants, which means vulnerable users could slip through the cracks. These are people who have bravely stepped forward to access support, it is vital that we don’t miss contact with them. We want to address these issues by building a mobile-optimised web platform to deliver content, connect with our users and store user details securely.
We have witnessed first-hand the impact of this pioneering approach to mental health. Your donation means we can reach more young people who currently have no route to finding the help they need - help that we can provide.
