I am converting the shop into a micro pub in the heart of birkdale village and will sell antiques as well. There are open fires up and downstairs bear brick walls lots of original features plenty of seating outside and on the sunnyside of the street. Birkdale has enough bars but not like this one, most bars in the village are expensive wine bars no real traditional pubs with open fires selling good food. I need investment to finish the project and get it running, i am doing most of the work myself and getting help from tradesmen friends, there is alot of interest already as i have spoken to Camra members who are behind the project with interest and being next to the railway crossing has lots of interest from railway historians as the building was built around 1880. I think and so do many people in the area and beyond that this will be a great addition to the village creating a sound business with great social benefits.
