Mestras de Capoeira
We did it
On 18th April 2018 we successfully raised £6,002 with 55 supporters in 28 days

This is a vibrant, adventurous and historic project. An illustration book that will, for the first time, show the face of our Mestras.

New stretch target

With the extra money we can print extra books, that can be donated to schools, universities, and community groups. The extra funds will enable us to create more promotional merchandise, this will help us to promote the book and the project and in turn raise more money to support the Ile Foundation charity and its objectives.

Salve meus amigos!

Hi Guys!

We are the ILE Cultural Foundation; a registered charity based in Wales.

We work for the preservation and diffusion of Capoeira, its foundations and traditions. We do this through books, CDs, documentaries, festivals and others. Our flagship project is the Tribute to Masters Project, whose main objective is to contribute to the Masters who are in risk situations whether they are social, financial, emotional, medical or otherwise. All our efforts are to raise funds or generate funds for this purpose.

In 2016, we launched our first book of Illustrations, the Tribute to the Masters art book, which was a success.

Today we have the great joy of inviting everyone to participate in this historic moment in capoeira. This is a vibrant, adventurous and compassionate project where we will raise funds to develop and publish a fresh, innovative and empowering illustration book that will, for the first time, show the face of our Mestras.

It will be 30 illustrations with 30 texts telling a little story about each one.

A magical and historical moment and you can take part of it in different forms, making  a donation or you can make contributions and receive rewards.

You can campaign in your group and participate as a sponsor, sharing the rewards within the whole group.

This will be an historic book, the first in its format, and the first in honour of the Female Masters of Capoeira!

And your participation is fundamental!
