The first few days after the pitch.
Well, here at Merionwen Towers we have been busy, busy, busy.
Mainly admin, but it does need to be done. I have spent a fair amount ofÊ time making a shopping list (yay). Choosing all important things like scales to organic butters. Looking atÊ the most economical methods of postage to the most ethical options of packaging.
I have been collating the details to get the vouchers sent out asap. Also contacting those who have chosen a bespoke line to see what sort of thing tickles their fancy. Will it be lip balm, bath oil or even an ethical hair rinse? The options are boundless.
I have also been weighing up the pros and cons of hot process versus cold process soap. After all hot process soap could be on the shelves sooner; but cold process does, in my opinion make a much nicer soap. I am sure you won't mind waiting around six to eight weeks for it to cure so Merionwen can bring you the best product possible.
I am thrilled the pitch raised more than the target amount and of course the money will be well spent. It will provide a better variety of goods. The ability to provide you with beautiful logo stamped soap, and further my research into high end cosmetics and natural skincare.
The Merionwen blog is in it's infancy but you can expect the first blog post today. Do stay tuned to watch as Merionwen grows from strength to strength. There will be a facility for you to leave the odd message and of course don't be shy to drop me a line via e-mail if you wish to make a request or suggestion. Here at Merionwen Towers we love to hear from customers and supporters alike. After all, we couldn't do it without you!
I can't wait to get into the potions lab and start putting together the goodies for the shop. As new products come into being I will be asking for people like yourselves to take samples and let me know what you think.
All those who have lent their support will not be forgotten.
