This year our representative Ahad Mahmood is being coerced into wearing Shalwar Kameez to university. If you want your money to go to those in need whilst simultaneously watching his misery DONATE NOW!! The more you donate, the longer he has to wear it!!
The KCL Pakistani Society is thrilled to announce the return of our annual grand charity dinner, MEHFIL! Following on from the fantastic feedback received in 2016, this year, Mehfil aims to be a greater, richer, and more refined experience, building upon the incredible legacy built over the past six years.
KCL PakSoc is proud to be supporting the following charities:
1) The Depilex Smile Again Foundation endeavours to provide reconstructive surgery and rehabilitation for women subjected to acid attacks in South Asia, including the provision of psychological and vocational support to ease integration of survivors back into society. The foundation also provides support groups for victims, and education for the general public, reinforcing the life shattering consequences of such atrocious acts, with the aim to eliminate them altogether.
A few of the success stories can be found here: http://www.depilexsmileagain.com/successstories.html
2) The Edhi Foundation is one of the best social welfare service providers across the world. This organisation has saved the lives of thousands of children, provided the disabled and elderly with the services and care they need and delivered healthcare to those who need it most.
All profits will be donated to these two invaluable causes.
