My little nephew aged 4 developed encephalitis last year and has a traumatic time since suffering with all sorts of side effects and brain damage. He is making amazing progress however, but there is still a long way to go and your project will help him to understand what is happening/has happened to him. Thank you to the people who work on this project and for thinking of a brilliant idea. Your efforts are very much appreciated.

As a Corporate Supporter of the Encephalitis Society for the last 7 years Upfront & Personnel are really pleased to have the opportunity to, once again, show our support and be involved in this amazing Project. Tim Bond, Managing Director of Upfront & Personnel was affected by Encephalitis in 2007 and left with an acquired brain injury. His recovery was slow but thanks to the help and support of The Encephalitis Society he has continued to progress and recover. Even 7 years on Tim feels that he is improving every day. Encephalitis is a terrible thief of life but with the support of The Encephalitis Society many people's lives are improved and with the research that they fund early diagnosis and awareness to Encephalitis are improving daily. Well done you guys!! Upfront & Personnel & Encephsurvivor

My son could have done with this when I was admitted to A&E in danger of loosing my life. Not to mention when I was left in a coma and then paralysed on waking and in hospital for 4 months! Poor him :( Good on you, this is a very worthwhile cause...I've shared the link with my Facebook friends. Hope you reach the 5k goal! Louise Mathe x x

Ethan fell into a six week coma in 2003 at the age of 4 and due to acute disseminated encephalomyelitis he will never be able to live independently for the rest of his life. If only the doctors knew the signs better, if only people were more aware of this awful disease. We managed to make a book for the younger children (Gilley The Giraffe) and now that Ethan is 15 he needs to understand better why his life is much harder than his brothers and sister. PLEASE donate towards this book - it will be a life changer for those who need to understand what happened to them.

I lost my son who was just 18 years old of encephalitis he was in hospital for 5 months then he died. I hope I will never in my lifetime have to watch anyone else in that situation. My hope for the future is that one day this heartbreaking disease will be eradicated. RooBabe
