To raise money for running costs for another year for the MC Hub and it's Community Food Shop so it can keep helping the community...

Mulligan Community is a non-profit organisation set up to help the community of South Wales and it has served nearly 1000 members in it's 9 months of opening, but now we need help to keep it going for another year.

The MC Hub is based in Caroline Street, Bridgend, South Wales; one of the busiest streets in Bridgend town centre. The MC Hub is home to the MC Community Food Shop, set up to ease pressure on family budgets for those who are financially disadvantaged and working hard to improve their lives by providing cheaper food and services to them that will help reduce stress in their lives. MC buy the food in from Fareshare who is a charity set up to receive large supermarkets excess food that would normally be thrown away because they simply have too much. The Community Food Shop is run on a bag membership system – helping to keep food costs down.

The MC Community shop is about helping those who are financially disadvantaged and working hard to improve their lives and their health. We want to ease pressure on family budgets and provide services to them that will help reduce stress in their lives and keep them out of poverty and start to re-build their lives. After 9 months we have nearly 1000 stop over 100 6ft cage trolleys of food from going in the bin and being sold cheaply to the community which have given us amazing feedback of how much help it’s been.
