To educate the 95% of uneducated girls in Somalia (particularly in STEM), improving their futures and teaching them their own personal value

by Tatiana P in

We are students from the UK who love maths and passionately believe that girls should have access to education of the same quality as men. Our aim is to travel to several countries in Africa (e.g. Somalia, where 95% of the poorest girls have not been educated), and start a school to teach girls STEM.  Maths 4 Girls is an essential cause, as the only way to break out of a cycle of poverty is to commence education, improving millions of lives, and making future dreams come true, whilst fighting for womens' rights along the way. Any money raised will go to construction of a school, distribution of material, and trips to educate the children.
