We want to re-open a youth club currently closed due to Local Authority budget constraints located on the Marsh Farm estate in Luton.

We want our youth club back!

That's what the kids on the Marsh Farm estate in Luton want!

We are Luton Town FC Community Trust a registered charity that represents the football club in the local community. Marsh Farm is a large estate with problems of knife crime, drug and gang activity along with lots of anti-social behaviour.

Not all of the kids on the estate are bad and part of the reason lots of them do get involved with anti social behaviour and criminal activity is that there is no alternative safe provision on the estate with the youth club now closed.

As a charity we already deliver sports activities 3 nights a week on the astro pitch next door - but not all kids are sporty and space on the pitch is restricted and expensive.

We want to re-open the youth club to provide a safe environment for all children on the estate where they can go to after school instead of heading for the local shops, hanging round and getting into trouble because home is either a problem or locked with mum at work.

We'll initially use the funds to give the place a lick of paint, equip it with pc's , tv's and indoor sports equipment - table tennis etc and then look to build up a bank of volunteers we can train in safeguarding and first aid to ensure the project is sustainable over the longer term.

The kids on the estate deserve better and opening their youth club will be a step in the right direction.

Thank you for your support!
