I have had a wish for 30 years to create a healing Sanctuary in Whitby that will provide a relaxing, peaceful retreat for people to escape, restore and balance their energies from the stresses and strains of life.
In March 2019 I became a registered healer after passing my two year training course. Also in November 2018 I passed a 200 hour Yoga Teacher Traing Course in Dharmashala Himalayas India
I live on a stunning cliff edge coastline location on the Cleveland Way an the outstanding natural beauty trail of North York Moors in a little hamlet in Kettleness Whitby. The views from this location are spectacular overlooking the sea and the little old traditional fishing village of Runswick Bay. Also it is surrounded by three farms with sheep, lambs, cows, peacocks and the local turkey called Benjamin.
The sunsets and starfilled skies with a million stars puts meditation onto another level. The large garden is an haven itself attracting many species of birds and butterflies. The garden gate opens onto the Cleveland Way offering Mother natures best walking site seeing experience in the area.
I would like create a bespoke wooden structure studio styled as an Indian/Tibetan meditation and healing room with healing beds/mats and chairs for up to 6 guests. Any additional money raised would be used to create a peaceful landscaped zen garden with a water fountain and pond decorated with garden ornaments ie birdbath/feeder and buddah statues. Also I would like to purchase a telescope which guests may use for stargazing in the clear night skies.
The whole purpose of this project is to create an environment where people can escape from the stresses of life and benefit from relaxing in the purpose built wooden purpose built Eastern influenced room filled with candles, lanterns rugs and incense. The studio will be located on the Cleveland Way which is a recognised area of outstanding natural beauty that visitors can enjoy together with professional healing treatments, guided meditations and yoga.
