Imagine walking the cliffs at Tintagel or a wooded valley - suddenly you hear the bell-like tones of a steel tongue drum and just round the corner you find a storyteller, inviting you to sit awhile and listen to a story. Or you might meet a poet, or a musician, or some witches dancing or some Saxon warriors - or even Merlin himself - anything can happen.
All year our wonderful artists, performers, musicians, storytellers, crafters, writers - people you may never usually get a chance to meet, will be out and about in our Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONBs), performing, practicing, talking, telling stories, singing songs - and Merlin has promised to do some magic. All of them will be working for free - just for the love of North Cornwall and the desire to share their skills with whoever happens to be passing.
So far we have managed to set everything up without spending very much at all. But, inevitably, there will be some costs as this celebration of our AONBs' 60th anniversary gets underway.
Printing, petrol, publicity... these will cost more than our little petty cash box can cover.
We just need a little help...
