Junction42 is a charity which exists to see the lives of offenders and their communities visibly transformed. Although Junction42 are already significantly involved in prisons in the North East they are looking to expand the enterprise arm of their charity to provide sustainable and meaningful employment for ex-offenders. The first of these being Luv Lunch, an app based lunch service. Prior to launching the enterprise we are looking to spend 3 months focusing on phase 1 and a further 3 months on phase 2.

Phase 1 will include:

  • The business concept itself and feasibility
  • Defining a model to best mentor, train and employ ex-offenders
  • Research into the best legal setup to ensure sustainability as an employer

Phase 2 will include:

  • Development of a proof-of-concept rstricted to a geographical location

The funding required for these two phases is £12,500. This money will cover 6 full months of work, expenses and startup costs to complete the relevant research and proof of concept.
