I am final year PhD student and am hoping to get a little help to deliver my PhD Research on a worldwide stage. The primary focus of my research is to characterise the hydration profiles of milk powders of an individual and cluster scale using advanced BioImaging techniques and develop the next generation of highly soluble high-protein milk powders. Such a food source could play a major role in tackling multiple global challenges such as, the need produce more food to feed a growing population, with world population expected to grow to 9.7 billion people by 2050; hunger and poverty reduction; access to food, dietary transition and health.
I have just been accepted to present my PhD research in Dairy Science at the 26th Australian Conference on Microscopy and Microanalysis (ACMM) in Canberra from Sunday 16 February to Thursday 20 February 2020. This will be an amazing opportunity for me to raise my research profile on an international platform. I am hoping to raise funds to cover the cost of the conference registration (£500), flights and travel costs (£1200) and accommodation and food (£800) in Canberra.
Conferences are expensive and my University and other funders have been extremely generous with previous funding to attend national and European summer schools and conferences.
This fund would mean the world to me, after starting over again I achieved a first class honours in 2017, and embarked on my PhD in September 2017. I am striving to make my family proud and give back to society through my research. I hope 2020 will be my year to prove myself.
If I can achieve my target to travel to this conference I am help to provide donators with some highlights from the conference at my website https://uubioimaging.com .
Thank you for your kindness and support.
