Raising money for 3 small animal charities in memory of Lucky: London Vet Rehab; StreetVet UK and Many Tears Animal Rescue

by Kate Roxburgh in London, England, United Kingdom

Four months ago Lucky was diagnosed with osteosarcoma.  We spent the Summer together making awesome memories.  Some very special people helped Lucky through this difficult time.   The amazing Silvia and Laura, of London Vet Rehab came to my house every week giving him physio and acupuncture and lots of love. They desperately need money to buy a van for a mobile rehab clinic to help others like Lucky  A very special vet who works tirelessly volunteering for Street Vet has been there for Lucky from beginning to end with so much love and care.  And lastly my friend who runs Many Tears Animal Rescue has saved thousands and thousands of dogs lives over the many years I have known her - dogs just like Lucky who found their way into a shelter waiting for someone to take them home.  Lucky passed away on September 28th.  I am running in his memory.

I am running from Brighton to London (44 miles total) - 22 miles a day for two days.  I am hoping to raise enough money to give back a little to these amazing people who help animals like Lucky every day.
