Please help us to raise funds to lessen the financial impact on the club due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Since March our members have been unable to train and the club has had to cease all operations since then and it may take some time to get back to the training level we were before Covid-19. Our funds have been placed under considerable strain because (a) we decided to suspend and reduce training fees as soon as it started and (b) we had to cancel our annual Galas this year which are our main fundraising events. Whilst the committee has always maintained secure financial planning, the severity and length of the pandemic means that we must look at ways in which we keep the club intact and facilitate a safe return to full normality once all our local pools re-open.
In the meantime many staff have been taking courses and updating their skills during lockdown so that we are ready to go.
We have tried to keep the club alive and involved with regular updates to our family of swimmers. The club are a local friendly club and welcomes new members and provides a great service to the local community in terms of healthy lifestyles for all ages of swimmers from ages 7 years to 60+. Sam one of the clubs swimmers “since joining the club I have made progress at training sessions and entered open meets and county championships, whilst making new friends and having fun" So if you would like to help or join now it is a great time to do so.
For every donation you will receive a free entry into our competition to win Boris the bear, one of our regular supporters at galas.
For every donation over £5 by swimmers or parents of the club you will receive a free Loughborough Town SC silicon club hat!
