Being both a forest school leader and an artist who creates clay sculptures of wild woodland birds and beasts I feel our all connection to nature is vital to our role as guardians of our natural world

Many thanks to the anonymous donor who left this £10 in the car park in Dorchester for me to find while I was litter picking this morning. Be assured it has gone to a great cause.

We love this book in our house. When my kids pout our deer moss, a buzzard or a bluebell I feel such a sense of joy and pride. Then I read stories about other kids thinking cheese grows on trees or never having seen a real cow and my heart aches. I genuinely believe the Lost Words can bring every child a little closer to nature. It will save both sides.

Fabulous project, so important to get children to understand and talk about the wildlife that's all around them so that they learn to value it.

Hi Robert! This is a great initiative and I'm very happy to make a small contribution. Your work is so important! I'm Norwegian, but England is my second home. Sincerely, from your Twitter friend Anne Charlotte Johansen
