Why Losode? Access to quality clothing, particularly the latest fashion trends, in Africa is difficult and extremely expensive; from worries about carrying excess luggage to sourcing quality and in-season pieces. Losode began in response to the growing need of Africans in Africa to access clothing of superior quality from Europe and the Americas’ and Vice Versa. We believe global clothing and accessories retailers have left a gap in the market by focusing predominantly on Europe, the Americas and Asia.
What is Losode? Losode is an online interactive platform targeted at bringing fashion and style from around the world to Africa and Africa to the world easily and at affordable prices . Targeted at 18-45 year old Africans in Africa and the Diaspora, Losode seeks to inspire fashion lovers globally.

The platform is a one-stop fashion and style destination. It comprises of an e-commerce store, enabling Africans to shop for the latest affordable western trends from the comfort of their homes and a thriving marketplace where African fashion designers can sell to a global audience. It is also a multifaceted, creative and interactive fashion and style platform currently with c. 15,000 followers on our social media platforms and 300 subscribers.
What is our business model? Our commerce business model is simple. We buy at wholesale prices from known western brands and resell at the recommended retail price. We also offer a marketplace with integrity where African designers can service a global audience.

With a favourable time zone, easy access to our key suppliers and the fact that London is one of the world’s most prominent fashion hubs, we are best placed to service Africa and the world. When will the platform launch? Losode is set to launch its ecommerce platform in May 2016. The verdict, the blog and Losode TV are already live and currently host c.300 subscribers. Phase 2 will see the development of the Losode marketplace, with completion targeted for Q1 2017.
