Livingston skatepark was once hailed as the best skatepark in europe and goes down as one of the oldest in the world.
As time has went on the park has become neglected and the once thriving skate spot has been left empty and unloved.
This page has been set up following demand after the screening of the Long Live Livi documentary on BBC Scotland. The community have shared memories and stories of their childhood at the park a time where we all went and PLAYED OUTSIDE.
The money raised through this page will be used to regenerate the park while maintaining its heritage and historic legacy. We have lost so much of our outdoor space as it is bought by investors or people loose interest. We can not lose this part of Livingston's history.
The money raised will be put forward to a working group of community representatives who will ensure the money is spent to regenerate the park using local knowledge and skills but most importantly we will seek the views of those who have loved Livi over the years, those who spent days and nights here and those who have a vision for its future.
IT IS REALLY IMPORTANT THAT THE WORK CARRIED OUT IS BY THOSE WITH EXPERIENCE IN SKATEBOARDING
We want to fill the park again so that those who can not afford indoor skate park fees have as much opportunity as those who can.
Thank you for your interest- please contribute in anyway you can- your opinions, advice and support is just as important as donating funds.
