This year we want to bring this project in the venue that is accessible to different background community and we aim to organise our project in London Independent arts venue "RichMix" which is easily accessible by public transport. we are planning to program this year in our community festival an internationally prominent African artist along with 10 local live acts and DJs from different African counties.
Our 2017 community festival edition didn't take place as financially it was difficult for us to put on this event. Therefore we let down many music lovers who usually attend this event and we don't want it to happen again this year. When there is currently little support for the music, to celebrate culture diversity of London we thought it would be a good idea to involve as many as possible music lovers to make this event happen this year.
This campaign will end on 10 March to raise £2000 to secure the expenses related to venue hire and logistic expenses. Once our target amount is reached, our group group members and potential sponsors are keen to top up supplement fund to make this project happen.
ACASN is a non-for-profit organisation with mission statement to support, promote and empower African performers who are beyond the mainstream support in England. There are many talented African artists in England mainly in London but few of them are having performance opportunities. That's why our organisation has been created in order to try to fill this gap and help African artists who are beyond the mainstream support to find performance opportunities so that they could showcase their talent, develop their creativity and enhance their profile.
To achieve our mission we're trying very hard to work in partnership with some established promoters and venue in England in order to get some of the African artists performance opportunities. In addition we organize our own music events to give them performance opportunities.
