Over the last year I have been lucky enough to see some incredible work from some very talented individuals. The London LGBT+ Photography group would like to donated these works to a good cause. Aproximatley a year ago I set up a photography meet-up group which has had much sucess, we now have over 1000 members and a Facebook group of over 250 members. I am currently working on producing a book of this years photos with different collections such as "Utopia, Metropialis and others" to best showcases the work of the group.
Importantly we are working along side a charity that does fantastic work to support children living with terminal and life threatening illnesses such as cancer and leukaemia They work across a broad spectrum to provide bespoke support to not only the children but their families as well. The charity provide a family with a much needed member of their dedicated team that will work effortlessly in making daily life easier by organising hospital transport or taking into account siblings needs as well as the needs of the child suffering with an illness. These may seem small tasks but for a family with a seriously ill child they can make all the difference so please give what you can.
My current aim is to work towards producing a bulk amount of books and to hire a venue to exhibit the groups work and sell larger pieces of work. The money made from sales of the books and larger pictures will be donate to the charity. The current difficulty I am having is finding funding to make this idea become a reality. If you would like to get involved please contact me and I can forward you a copy of the book so far. Please note that the money donated goes directly to the production of the books and larger photography pieces once these are sold the profits are donated.
