The project will benefit our local community by making available a space and time for our more mature residents to enjoy a meal, activities and each others company. The activities will include visits from a range of agencies to ensure the members are informed of all their rights and services available to them. We will also be working with the pre-school, school, and day nursery from to time to time to develop inter-generational activities and relationships. The project will reduce loneliness, which can lead to emotional health and wellbeing problems, it will raise awareness of services, to help elderly residents remain independent and also help the younger generation understand and relate to older residents. Also the whole community will benefit from a village hall that is an environment that enables residents of all physical abilities.
