ABOUT LITTLE RED THEATRE
Little Red Theatre is a not for profit theatre company for young people in Kirriemuir that provides regular theatre clasess, training, holiday projects and opportunities to connect with theatre experiences both in the local community and beyond. We hold weekly theatre classes for young people aged 7- 25, run holiday sessions and help support those wishing to take up theatre in further education.
ABOUT NATIONAL THEATRE CONNECTIONS
The National Theatre Connections project is an exciting opportunity for young people in Kirriemuir to engage in a professional theatre experience in association with the National Theatre with the chance to perform on the Dundee Rep stage. Connections is a well established project that has been running for 21 years but it has never been brought to Kirriemuir before, with your help we can change that.
COST OF THE PROJECT
We are fundraising to cover the following costs:
Participation fees to be paid to the National Theatre £250
Travel Expenses £100
Rehearsal Space £300
Set £200
Costume £100
Props £50
We believe that young people in rural areas should have the same access to artistic opportunities as those in the big citires and central belt. By supporting our campaign you will be helping young people in Kirriemuir connect with a national project that they would not otherwise have access to. Kirriemuir deserves a thriving youth theatre, supporting the National Theatre Connections project will enable us to establish the Little Red Theatre for the Little Red Town as a respected member of the youth theatre community and will allow young people in Kirriemuir a chance to perform as part of a professional project.
