This Project is built on the idea that we all need a village to grow.
This little yarn shop has been just a dream since 2006, an idea drawn of a piece of paper. When I was a young mother of 2, I visited a local, very small, yarn shop. I was already a knitter and something inside beamed with the idea of my own shop.
Over the years i've worked hard to support my family with my work and have grown as a knitter and a mother (and a person!) The idea of the shop is present every day and im using this for the initial start-up, the hardest part of building a business, specially when you work from home with 3 kids. It is possible, but the time it takes to build anything is at a slower pace. The shop will be a testemony of bravery and perseverance and also, of humbleness. Because it takes a lot to ask for help in this big wide web.
There is paperwork that needs to be done. The shop needs furniture, paint and supplies, it needs to go from "four walls" to a comfortable place of creativity.
A place for our knitting club, for women to gather through the love of knitting. A place where, hopefully, more dreams will come true.
A place where our family will grow, as this becomes a family business, not just a place for work.
Your name (and picture, if i have it) will be on the wall and if you provide an address, a simple thank you gift will be sent as soon as possible.
Because that is the least that I can do for you, for helping me, making this dream come true.
It takes a village. For the love.
