Lillagunilla Studio Pottery Campaign

My name is Erica and I am crowdfunding to help me set up my pottery Lillagunilla in southeast London.

We did it!

On 10th Oct 2016 we successfully raised £570 with 19 supporters in 28 days

My name is Erica and I am crowdfunding to help me set up my pottery Lillagunilla in south east London. I want to create a space where I can produce my own ceramic work and also provide tuition in different ceramic processes like throwing on the wheel, handbuilding and casting. Clay is such a great material to work with and it gives me so much joy that I would like to give more people the chance to discover what I did many years ago!

The name Lillagunilla comes from my mother who was called Gunilla. She passed away in breast cancer 2006 and I always wanted to find a way to honour her. "Lilla" means little in swedish, and I was often referred to as the "little" version of my mother as I was growing up so therefor the name made sense to me.

Up until now I have been renting spaces in communal studios where classes were being held. I always thought that there were a lot of students in each class and not so much one to one teaching. So therefor I would like to build up my studio classes in a more intimate way, with a maximum of 1-3 people at a time. This would provide a more calm and relaxed learning space where you can take your time without stress, and I will be there helping and supporting you throughout your course.

In order to get my studio up and running I need your help! I am crowdfunding for £2000 to be able to buy an electrical pottery kiln and a second throwing wheel for teaching. I am also in the process of building my own Raku kiln for outdoor firings so any money left will go towards this project.

I can´t wait to make it happen, thank you to everyone that wants to support my campaign!!

See you in my studio!!

Love, Erica
