New stretch target

I didn’t think this would hit £100! Anything earned over the target amount will be donated to the winners charity of choice.

Dear all

Those of you who know me will be aware that I have lived in this village all my life. As I’m sure you’ll agree, this year has been one of the strangest years we have lived through and as a result, times are hard, physically, financially, and most of all mentally. Myself and my wife decided to put our outside Christmas lights up early this year in hope that it would spread some Christmas cheer, some of our neighbours have also done the same and it makes me smile when pulling up at home after work.

Mental health is probably the worst it has ever been right now with these uncertain times. Sometimes we just need that little boost to make us feel happy and what better way than using the best time of the year!

So, We had an idea about giving back. We have decided to run a Christmas Light competition for the Glen Park Estate with all monies raised going to a Local Independent Charity.

This includes :-

Glen Park Drive, Fairwinds Avenue and Langdale Avenue

SO… Let’s light up the streets of the estate and spread some Christmas Cheer to the local community.

How will it work?

Simply decorate the outside of your house with whatever Christmas lights you have, this doesn’t mean you have to be seen on the national grid or paying out for expensive lights, though it is completely up to you.

Every house will be allocated an entry number to display in their window or wherever it can easily be seen, this will be posted within the first week of the crowdfunding page going live. This will be the number used for people to vote for your house.

This is also so that resident’s addresses are not physically listed on this page for data protection.

How to vote

Voting is simple, all you need to do is identify the competition entry number of the house you wish to vote for, make your donation to this page (Minimum £1 donation) and in the ‘Message of support’ section, comment with the competition entry number of the house you wish to vote for. This will be hidden to keep the winner a surprise.

The competition will run from the day the crowdfunding page is live until 8:00 PM Monday 21st December.

Its simple - No Likey - No Lighty!

**Please be aware that inline with government guidelines, PPE and hand sanitiser will be used when creating and delivering the competition packs. Please also recycle, once the competition is finished**
