Grounds for Optimism starts tonight!
THANK YOU so much for your support so far for this year's London Festival of Baroque Music. The weekend's live events kick off this evening at 7.30pm at St John's Smith Square - we look forward to seeing some of you here in the audience. For those who aren't able to join us in person, you can view the livestreams and watch again on demand on the St John’s Smith Square website here: https://www.sjss.org.uk/overview
Do also keep an eye out on the LFBM Facebook page for an array of online events over the course of this weekend, including:
- 'Grounds for Optimism': a short feature of five online concerts, given by harpsichordist Steven Devine which pairs ‘grounds’ by Henry Purcell with other intimate keyboard music from England in the late 17th century;
- The Rosary Sonatas of Biber, played by Bojan Čičić, and also with Steven Devine;
- Three programmes of Bach given by Amici Voices directed by Helen Charlston; and
- Five programmes devised and performed by Tabea Debus and friends.
Do share the content and Crowdfunder page with your friends and family: your support is hugely valued and means we can continue to present high quality live music for audiences to enjoy, both in person and online.
Best wishes from all of us at St John's Smith Square and the London Festival of Baroque Music
