Hello! My name is Lexi and I was invited to study at the PhD level by a former course leader. This is something I have not only worked toward but has been a dream of mine since I was in high school. I am hoping this will help me to achieve not only my dream but to help others.
I will be conducting research on women who find themselves to be in a particularly difficult position by being not only addicted to drugs but also pregnant and in prison. This research will not only help mother's, addicts, and children; it will allow us a cross-cultural look at this particularly vulnerable group.
