Unfortunately this project was not successful.

Our aim is to promote a benefit to mental health by getting outdoors, clean up the river/canal and promote eco-friendly, sustainable living.

About The Project

Hi, my name is Anthony and the owner of Let's Get Lost Leicester, which I officially started up in August 2017, where I put feelers out about the concept.

I have designed Let's Get Lost Leicester to promote the adventures you can have within Leicestershire and help you explore your local outdoors, while kayaking, hiking, camping & scuba diving.

At the moment we are an online based company with storage in Leicester meaning we can use a selection of different routes around Leicestershire while keeping costs to a minimum.

I got the idea when I travelled to Australia and noticed that their culture was very outdoorsy and always seemed to be super relaxed. I soon discovered the benefits of this way of living for myself and instantly wanted to bring this back to my hometown of Leicester.

My Aim From The Project

The first aim for the crowdfunding project is to grow the project further to reach a wider audience which will help promote Leicestershire outdoors, the benefits that being outdoors and away from screens has on mental health, relationships and overall wellbeing, as well as promoting eco-friendly, sustainable living.

The second aim is to raise funds to buy new equipment and introduce new watersports; Paddleboarding and Canoeing to help broaden the choices of trips within Leicestershire.

The third aim is to set up a dedicated day of the month for cleaning up the river where we will encourage groups to join us for a free trip whether it be a hike, a paddle or a dive, to help clean up Leicestershire pathways and waterways.

What Will The Money Go Towards?

So with these aims in mind, the money raised will go towards; Paddleboards, canoes, buoyancy aids, paddles, helmets, litter picking equipment, mesh bags and a dedicated team to promote clean living & the work that is being carried out around Leicestershire.

The long-term goal of Let's Get Lost Leicester is to open up a shop and increase the trips on offer.

Final Words

A lot of my time and money has already gone into Let's Get Lost Leicester but I also need to prepare for on-going costs associated with the running the project especially during the winter months!!

So, you can count on me that all money raised will go into providing helpful, educational, adventurous and exciting trips which we hope you will enjoy taking part in.

Have a look at the rewards we're offering and hopefully you will be tempted to pledge and be a part of this exciting new venture!

Thank you for taking the time to read our project and any pledges will go along way to making Leicestershire a cleaner, more exciting place to live.

Happy Adventure
