 New stretch target

Target is £200

Welcome to our team project ‘LEAP STREET’ (Learning Educating and Protecting)

We are a team of students for the University of Westminster Business School fundraising for UK charity ‘Crisis’. Crisis are dedicated to putting an end to homelessness. They teach the homeless life skills, educate them on health and wellbeing, provide food and housing.

We have already started fundraising. We have held multiple events which have been a success, working with partners Greggs (bakery). But, we don’t want to stop there, we want to reach our target and make a big difference in many lives, but we can only do this with your support. The money raised will be forwarded on to Crisis who will use the money to provide shelter for those suffering on the cold streets of the UK. Crisis will teach them how to look after themselves and educate them so they can have the skills to get improve their employability. Alongside Greggs, local businesses Winter Windows have supported us, FastShield and the University of Westminster student council who have provided us with the locations for our events.

We ask you support us in our efforts to tackle homelessness. Thank you in advance for your generosity. Please see below link to our wiki page (a page which you can find more about our project).

Dhruv Singh:

Rahul Kapur:

Rahul is studying Finance and Entrepreneurship at Babson College in Boston. He has experience with crowdfunding, this is the second crowdfunding class he is taking. As part of a previous crowdfunding campaign he was involved with, he worked with a friend to raise money and send 1000 footballs to underprivileged children in the Ivory Coast. The idea behind this campaign was that sport creates a sense of well being and thus allows these underprivileged children to connect and unite. It helps build on skills such as teamwork and self-confidence, which he believes to be the crux of why a lack there of results in many of them remaining poor and thus failing to strive for anything better in life. As a passionate entrepreneur and experienced crowdfunder, this class will further help develop Rahul's skills in terms of marketing a campaign to raise awareness and money for a social enterprise. Rahul also enjoys video editing.
