To be honest even thinking of doing this makes me feel of a slightly grubby nature, but achieving target would cause great relief upon my mind. Relieved mind trumps grubby soul.
I'm doing two shows at Edinburgh Fringe this year, my solo show, "We'd prefer someone a bit more mainstream" and my mental health compilation show I do, Barking Tales (a comedy night where all comedians on the bill tell stories / do material that in some way relates to mental health. A small bid to try raise awareness / break the stigma that still sourrounds it today.)
Barking Tales started / still runs in Manchester (soon to be Newcastle too) and profit goes to the regionally nearest Mind mental health charity.
I make nothing from these myself and due to time put into them, gigs being pulled, recording equipment needed to podcast Barking Tales throughout the fringe and flyers / posters etc for both shows that £500 would go such a long way.
Thanks ever so much for listening, sorry for asking.
Cheers now, have a nice week X
